CONGRATULATIONS CLLR. VARNEY SHERMAN on winning the Cape Mount County Senatorial Elections. To the victor goes not only the spoils, but the awe-inspiring challenges of satisfying the ever increasing expectations of the electorate against the reality of an every diminishing resource base. The campaign is over, and the people of Cape Mount have spoken. The pillar upon which all Democratic Nations States are anchored is the right of the people to freely elect their leaders. One that is done, it becomes the responsibility of ever civic minded member of society to ensure that the chosen leader succeeds. As a civic minded member of Cape Mount, am always prepared to play that supportive role, and challenge my fellow compatriots to do likewise. We have squandered too much energy on the campaign, now it is time to put an even greater energy in unifying Cape Mount for the prosperity of not only this generation but those that will come afte usr. A word of admonition to my fellow compatriots: I know us like the palm of my hands. Pretty soon we will begin to visit the office of the Senator Elect with personal issues that could be addressed through either personal initiative or other available avenues of remedy, that will take his eye off the big picture that could bring more benefit to all. Keep those petty issues out of the Senators Office. A senator is neither Father Christmas nor the Red Cross! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
