I know people love muscle cars and loud motorbikes and I admit I enjoy the sound of combustion engines as well. That noise is a big part of the enjoyment of driving for me. But the louder the engine the more it reminds me of how out dated most of it is. A love of rumbling cars and thunderous bikes and the knowledge and skill to maintain those engines is, to me, akin to rebuilding steam engine trains or going to block buster to rent movies. I know people still do these things, and theyre fine hobbies. But its 2014 and your engine still has over 4,000 components and sets shit on fire to run. Better still its manually operated.. You are fast becoming an engineering history nerd.
