I know several people have expressed concerns about the two dogs we rescued from the Smith County Animal Barn last week, since several dogs from that facility have come down with Parvo and some have even died. I wanted to let everyone know that Jinx and Autumn are both fine. I brought them home from their temporary foster on Friday and they got their vaccinations then. They are each in separate quarantine at my house, and are eating well, have normal stools, and are happy and playful. They both met the other dogs briefly last night, as they got to come in the house and sleep since it was so cold out, and they were fine with all. The only problem we are having is that Autumn is in heat, and Whiskey is wanting her to be his baby momma. Autumn and Jinx are back in their separate pens today, but they are doing so well that I think each can be spayed/neutered this Friday, as well as Whiskey, and then everyone will be ready for new homes a few days later. Today makes 7 days that Autumn and Jinx have been out of the Barn, so if they were going to get sick with Parvo they would be showing it already. Knock on wood, I think we are good at our place. :)
