I know some of my white friends are still on the fence about the unrest thats happening nation wide, worldwide really, in relation to police ruthlessly murdering black people. While that frustrates and pains me, I want yall to know if you feel a way but youre confused, we can talk about this. I will put forth the effort necessary to facilitate time and contribution into these discussions. Instead of confronting black and brown people near you over your discomfort, also instead of remaining silent; if you feel a way, I am entirely willing to have these conversations with you. Im not offering a safe space, considering often spaces we frequent are as safe as can be. Im not offering solace in your ignorance to expose racism to another white person who feels differently. Im instead offering a point of view in solidarity with our brown friends and encouraging discussion while remaining unharmed as a quality of my personal privilege here. I cant do I cant anymore. Lets talk.
