I havent had a student yet that would benefit from the convoluted problem on this page, rather than doing the simple subtraction demonstrated by the father. And the questions about borrowing or carrying that some students have seem to be generally understood when using pennies, dimes, dollars, etc. A lot of students get it pretty quickly when money is involved.
