I know some people here and in blogs are advancing the theory that Sony engineered the entire hack scandal to sell tickets to The Interview. The hack opened up Sony to not only ridicule, public humiliation, and fracturing of relationships within the film community and with the stars in Hollywood, but also Billions in fines and lawsuits. Billions with a capital B. I dont think theyd go through all of that so $42 million dollar film (that they didnt have confidence in to begin with) could earn some more money. Its like buying a $420K house, doing $100 million dollars worth of damage (all the while getting fined and having people sue you over it) to the house and property, only to sell it for $500K. I dont find that likely.
