I know summer has passed in my corner of the world, but it is - TopicsExpress

I know summer has passed in my corner of the world, but it is endless or nigh in many other places where my Facebook pals live. I damaged the skin of my face one hot day in 1990 while feasting in beer, Faith No More and Soundgarden at the Roskilde Festival. I couldnt open my eyes for 24 hours, they were so puffed up, and I ended up with a centimetre thick solid scab covering my face, and ruined for life. I didnt even go to see a doctor. I have tried to make sure I use sun protection ever since, except i am naughty concerning my eyes, because of a silly spectacles phobia, and got hit with slight sunblindness in Malta last month. I bought the sun hat just one day too late. Now - my philosophy is, if you are going to convince your children to wear hats in winter and screen in summer, you have to lead by example, so it becomes a life long habit, a good habit. I have to learn to overcome my aversion to something clinging on to my face while also obscuring the peripheral vision field and start practicing a version of Ma futures so bright, I gotta wear shades with my little men, because they dont wear sunglasses, nor hats. Just because they dont complain doesnt mean that they are not coming to harm. Lesson learned through self destruction. Christmas present no.1 ticked off.
