I know that I have posted a lot about the Lenape Solar Haiti Project that I am working on. I know I have posted about fundraising. I am hoping that you will read my message a bit differently this time... We have come up a bit short from our expectations on fundraising. We still have about $12,000 in equipment to pay for. And while we have a great team of individuals who have volunteered their time, and some of them their vacations, not all of them can afford their travel costs...so we need to help raise money to cover travel expenses as well, about $1,200 per person. Are you a member of a service club, like Rotary or Kiwanis, that would possibly make a donation to such a worthy endeavor? Does your church believe in supporting a project such as this? Would they consider making a contribution to helping power a hospital & mission compound in Haiti with Solar Energy? Do you work in a hospital? Do the doctors and nurses there think that medical care in the third world is worth their support and want to come together to make a contribution? Are you part of a crazy group of mature women, like the Red Hat Society or Chi Sigma National Service Sorority, who just want to get together, have fun, and make a difference in the world? I would love to come and talk with your groups about our project if you are willing to have us. Any and all donations are tax deductible. Please SHARE...we are leaving on September 19th...
