I know that a lot of you do not see my posts, as they mostly consist of nothing important what so ever, but I have to ask you all to read this for me. Through the short amount of time I have been on this Earth I have seen a lot of pain. I have seen women, children and yes even men break down to tears because of the situations, circumstances and people that oppress them. I have seen the happiness, that all people deserve, sapped out of them. Now I know that you all have heard, You shouldnt complain because there are people in Africa who have it worse than you. You know what? They have a point. Not that you shouldnt complain or feel the emotions you are, but that there is pain and suffering everywhere. In all continents, countries, cities, villages, etc. The sad thing is that while there is pain everywhere, happiness is not. People no matter what will struggle with their own trials and tribulations. Pain is pain. There is no ifs, ands or buts. You shouldnt brush aside the emotions that you are in your right to feel. I have seen boys and girls treat each other like toys. I have seen people feel like they are worth nothing because of past relationships and friendships. How is this any different from the pain suffered through by people elsewhere? Rather than saying You shouldnt complain because there are people in Africa who have it worse than you. people should be there for each other. There was a day when your community was your family, but why has that changed? We can see thousands of people go by and judge them, yet we cant stop to tell them that somebody loves them or that they are beautiful. We cant see the good that is right in front of our faces because we are blinded by judgment and self consciousness. We are blinded by those who say You shouldnt complain because there are people in Africa who have it worse than you. Why cant we move forward to a future I can be proud to bring a life into. I may be young or wishful to some, but I am me. I am the one that is tired of seeing people break down. I am the one that is tired of hearing people should just move on because their pain is less than others. I am the one that is accepting of the mistakes and decisions I have made and still I will not let them distract me from the end goal of being a man my family and hopefully family to come will be proud of. You see instead of seeing the pain everywhere, I want to see the possibility of happiness. I want to see my community... no my civilization as humans be able to help each other through the pain and into happiness. No I know it is easier said then done, but I will make the day to day effort to do so. Whats stopping you? I want to end this long and random post by saying that I am here for anybody who needs or wants me. You are all beautiful, capable, wanted and deserving of happiness. Go out and grab your joy and live your life for your future.
