I know, the world/society has gotten into the habit and trend of giving recognition in certain months for epidemics or tragedies, to bring awareness but how about 365 day fight to STOP the epidemic?? My sisters are survivors of domestic violence relationships -- they didnt leave by their own strength but by the strength and courage given to them by God once they trusted Him to see them out... My mother survived a domestic violence relationship, young ladies Ive mentored survived and I know many women and men whove survived and share their stories of fear, anger, insecurity, deliverance, release, peace and courage with anyone that has an ear not to hear themselves speak but with the hopes that their words will reach somebody that needs to hear them. The world acknowledges Domestic Violence Awareness during the month of October... so I ask that you all are aware of whats going on around you, reach out to that family member that has suddenly become isolated from family after they began dating someone new, peep that girlfriend or guy friend that down plays the public displays of disrespect by their significant other with watered down excuses like, Oh he dont mean no harm... she does that all the time.
