I know there has been a lot of frustration and annoyance with all the flooding and detours. I have to admit I was guilty of one rant about the traffic in town and the crazy out of town drivers and I how I miss small town traffic, but I have to say I feel blessed that we live in a community that takes care of each other in time of need. I am so THANKFUL to ALL our UTILITY COMPANIES that have worked 24/7 since the flood to insure our community has water & power. Also to Las Vegas Paving that has worked non stop to get our roads open!!! All the volunteer fire fighters, water rescue people & first responders. I believe they have gone above the call of duty :) and appreciate each and every one of them. I got a chance to spend sometime with the Red Cross volunteers who were also AWESOME and they had nothing but wonderful thing to say about our community. They were surprised by how tightknit our community is and how we come together and take care of each other. They had nothing but praise about our little community and that made me feel proud to live here. I just wanted to share my thoughts on the situation we were dealt, and yes it was terrible but I think we should all try to remember its always a good day when NO ONE dies and we can show our love to one another. I just wish it didnt take a disaster for us to do that :) Praise God for all our blessing!!!!!
