I know we are supposed to forgive but this is one woman I have a hard time looking up to as one of the greatest 100 women. We suffered with too many friends, brothers and friends whose husbands lived through that hell over there. This was my generations war and I have never been so embarrassed by one of our countries performers as I was by Jane Fonda. I thank each and everyone of the men and women who served - risking their lives on a daily basis just by walking through that jungle, or flying overhead, or cruising the river, operating radios, driving trucks, repairing helicopters and air craft, cooking, and running the Mash units - I say thank you. To the families whose loved ones did not make it home (like our beloved Bobby Jones) and no one knows where they are - I say thank you and we suffered and still do with you. That black wall in Washington DC is witness of the number of families that war touched but it doesnt take into account the number of guys that stayed in places like the Hanoi Hilton. Do you think she remembers those poor almost dead guys she met with and betrayed? Having said all that I guess you figured out - I wont be buying her book.
