I know youre all dying to know which Del Taco food items are appropriate for bodybuilding, other than none of them because its (delicious, delicious) garbage food, so Ive gone ahead and dome the research for you: The bean and cheese bowl and the value bean burritos are the clear winners, with the Del combo (and its macho older brother) being close behind. Most of the breakfast menu is good, with the egg and cheese burrito being a stand-out (for value and relative lack of saturated fat). Special shout out to the bacon grande scrambler for being delicious and extra high in protein and calories. In general the chicken items are good, except for the classic grilled chicken burrito and chicken salad. As you can imagine most of the items are high in saturated fat and have truly monstrous amounts of sodium. The bean stuff really is the way to go with the added benefit of also being cheaper. I would imagine the ground turkey substitutions wouldnt be too awful but the pamphlet didnt have the info. Minus points for being extra costly though. So there you have it folks. Youre welcome.
