I left my backpack with my laptop in it on a bench in the market this evening. I didnt realize this until I was already nearly home, assuming that it was gone for good. However, I got a call from the campus police at Carleton a few minutes ago. Some Good Samaritan reported the bag missing to the RCMP, who figured out I was a student at Carleton and then sent it to them. To whomever took time out of their evening to help get me my stuff back when you could have much more easily just kept walking, thank you. My faith in this city has never been higher.
