I left the house early this morning and went to check on something and get breakfast and 2 city utility water trucks were right down the street by a leaking pipe. I left home again to go to a meeting and figured the leak was taken care of until I just got home and found property owners on both sides of the road worried about the leak. Well they are actually worried about what this running water all day is costing them! What one of them mentioned is sinkhole and I stated to the whole party why worry about a sinkhole over there if you arent worried about the one that is going to for on the other side of the road where they didnt fix the road properly after cutting down a tree. So the county and the city have both been out and said its not their problem. As far as I know the State doesnt own any utilities in the immediate area but there will be a sinkhole open from what I see! It wont be long and it will be a major repair instead of being proactive and fixing it now. So if you live near Oakhill street in Colonial or Oakhill MHP you might want to sleep light tonight and if you hear a funny noise get out of your house and run as quick as you can toward downtown. Maybe we will finally get our street repaved!
