I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians - TopicsExpress

I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ. Mohandas Gandhi sadly this quote is often all too true. Its time Christians to change that and try to be more Christ like. I know we all sin and need to be forgiven, but if we keep doing the same things are we really trying or are we just saying what we think we are supposed to say. That is not enough. God sees the truth of our hearts. We can not hide our true selves from him. Time is running out we are not going to be given unlimited chances. The time is now. Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Rev.2:2 People often profess to be Christians but I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you dont tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars. 2 Chronicles 7:14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Ephesians 4:26-31 In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold. He who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with his own hands, that he may have something to share with those in need. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Proverbs 15:18 A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel. Colossians 3:8 But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. May God be with you! Ill get off my soap box for now. This was on my mind but Its time to spend some time in Gods word and work on me. This post is not directed at anyone just sharing my thoughts of the moment. I post because I feel I need to.
