I listened to SHEIKH MAKABURI when he was being interviewed by the BBC on the attack on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi by Al-Shabaab and their associates and these were some of his arguments: (1) "Tourists are legitimate target because they pay tax that fund the Anti-Terrorist Unit (ATPU). BUT I ASK HIM, he and Kenyans (both Muslim and non-Muslim) also pay tax, which fund and the police, the ATPU, the KDF...SO ARE THEY ALSO LEGITIMATE TARGETS? And the British, the US and other European nations fund projects, DOES HE AND HIS LIKES reject them? AND BY THE WAY THE PROPHET NEVER TARGETED INNOCENT PEOPLE, JUST BECAUSE THEY BELONG TO A CERTAIN COUNTRY... 2. He said he does not support "violence" by Al-Shabaab by "THEIR IDEOLOGY". But is the ideology that has no excuse in the Quran or hadith an Islamic ideology? Is Makaburi a Muslim? 3. He said Al-Shabaab had a right to rule "THEIR COUNTRY the way they want". But I ask when did Al-Shabaab become LEGITIMATE RULERS OF SOMALIA? Did they want to rule Somalis in Somalia by force? 4. And Makaburi said that he follows the Quran and the Prophet, then why did he not recite chapters from the Quran and sayings of the prophet to prove that he actually follows the teachings of the Quran and the Prophet? 5. And he claims that Muslims "are slaughtered everywhere in the world" and that they cannot just sit and watch...WHY DID HE NOT MENTION THE COUNTRIES WHERE MUSLIMS ARE BEING SLAUGHTERED AND ALSO MENTION COUNTRIES WHERE MUSLIMS SLAUGHTER THEMSELVES LIKE IN IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN, SYRIA, EGYPT etc, so should we also SLAUGHTER THESE MUSLIMS WHO SLAUGHTER ONE ANOTHER? I can go on and on....but let this suffice...MUSLIM YOUTHS, do not be misguided...
