I listened to this interview hoping to hear that this officer wasnt the complete demonization hes been painted as but I was disappointed. First off we must acknowledge that his legal team would never let him go on national news before coaching him on things safe and unsafe to say on TV. That being said, I cant believe this is the story that kept him a free man. Im not calling him a liar but I am saying it doesnt make sense. Although Brown was no angel I doubt he was as stupid as were led to believe in this interview. Hes college bound and for no reason decides to engage an officer that was nicely telling him to move over. Move over where? Who the hell knows. So Brown pushes the officers door closed on him (which in that moment he could kiss his scholarship good bye) then leans in and starts punching the officer, the officer doesnt grab his issued tazer (that can put down a cow), not mace but pulls his gun. Pulls the trigger twice, which doesnt go off because super mike is squeezing it and it cant fire, the 3rd shot goes off striking brown, which pisses the 17 year old hulk off more so he shoots again. Brown takes off running and the officer jumps out to pursue (which would be standard). Brown gets 30 feet away and with 2 bullets already in him decides to be the hulk again and turns back to the officer, charges back at the officer with his hand in his waist band (which no black person would ever do facing a cop unless youre suicidal) and a clinched first (which we know is more powerful then a gun) and Wilson shoots again. Thats still not enough to stop the 17 year old hulk so he takes the bullet and continues to charge the officer who then finally shoots him in the head finally stopping this hulking monster 17 year old. My personal opinion: if thats not the dumbest sh#t I ever heard in my life I dont know what is. And then to say your conscience is clear because you did your job properly is the icing on the cake. Even officers who were in the right killing someone are impacted from taking a life. This is sick. And Im not saying that brown didnt smart off to the officer etc but if you believe this bull sh#t then youre a moron too. No wonder theyre tearing that city down. Wilsons comfort in killing brown tells you the history of Ferguson.
