I live in Franklin County, Ohio. If you ask what the county seat is, without skipping a beat, I would reply Columbus! As I frequently do, I called a library today and was directed to their genealogy and local history department. They didnt have what I needed so I asked which library in their county might? The lady said I dont know. I asked which library was the main library in her county? The lady said I dont know. I asked what is the county seat of your county? She said just a minute...and asked someone across the room...Whats the county seat of our county? I was shocked that someone working in genealogy & local history didnt know what the county seat of her county was. So...what is YOUR county seat? Its not a trick question :)
