I live my life with songs and today I remember the song Theres Got To Be a Morning After. I arose at 5:15, taught my Belmont class, went to my 10:00 string session, and returned home about 4:00. I was a zombie all day, I was there but really not present. I remember my last conversation with my dad the Sunday night before he died on Tuesday. He closed with, I wish I had the words to express how much I love you, but there just arent enough to really express it. I returned the sentiment and we said goodbye. I plan to make this my last post on our loss and try to find some kind of normal again. One fathers day I sent dad a song by Dan Fogelberg that expressed my feelings better than I can. The lyrics say: The leader of the band Is tired and his eyes are growing old But his blood runs thru my instrument And his song is in my soul My life has been a poor attempt to imitate the man Im just a living legacy To the leader of the band
