I look at myself today and i see a conqueror, a beautiful and blessed young woman. I am more than a survivor, survivors keep groping and moping for a long time, I am a victor. You see, i have been there, i have done that, i have felt that, i have seen that. Was it that wet pillow as dawns first streaks appeared in a deep blue sky??? Was it that blow that was taken straight in the heart????? Was it death- the death of a relationship????????? Was it that betrayal........ that loneliness and the anguish thereafter???????????? Was it that stain on the floor, the significant reminder of the fact that you were tainted and defiled?????????? Was it that smile on the doctors face as he told you that you were carrying an unwanted bundle of joy?????????? Was it the battles in your mind, the battle for sanity and the confusion thereafter because you were not too sure about Gods understanding??????? Courage, I love that virtue yet i almost lost it. Many times as i walked down lifes rocky lane. You see, the worst thing that can happen to any man is a damaged mind. A damaged body might heal with time, a damaged heart might receive love and get healed with time but a damaged mind is almost irreparable because many times, the possessor of a damaged mind does not even know that his/her mind is damaged. The worst thing that the devil can do to any man or woman is to leave that person with a damaged mind so that receiving Gods love becomes mission impossible. How can you receive what you do not believe or understand??????? I am here today and I can talk because i did not just survive, i won. I still win. Whoever you are, wherever you are, you can win, do not surrender to fate, let fate surrender to you. It does not look easy, that is because it really is not easy. Being courageous is hardwork, the hardwork pays off though. You will be reaping the benefits for the rest of your life. More importantly, hold on to your Creator.
