I love Ellen so much! Of course we all know she is gay! Its not a secret. I dont understand why a Christian pastor has to bash her by name. We all have our values and our beliefs and its ok to express them, but not with hateful words. We all should be companionate toward one another. You always hear people say if they are gay then maybe thats just a cross they have to bear, maybe its a test from god. They have the choice to live celibate I dont disagree with that; its true, we all have crosses we have to bear. I also feel the way we treat people is a test. So before you decide to bash somebody look in the mirror and ask yourself. am I perfect? Do I always make the right choice? Do I have the right to judge people and shame their name because of certain lifestyle choices? NO! Why do people have the need to compare themselves, their sins, and lifestyles? Does it make people feel better about themselves, theyre own lifestyle and there own choices if they can point fingers at other people? I feel like some Christians feel the need to say yes I sin....but look at them!....Look at their sin!....look at their choices!.....look how they live their life! Its just something I cant wrap my brain around. People need to stop putting themselves on a pedestal and pointing fingers down on others. I commend Ellen for being the bigger person and using her humor to respond back to this pastor. She didnt come back with hateful words however spoke kind words and used humor to get her point across. Whether you agree with her lifestyle or not I think everyone that watches Ellen can agree she is a very kind person and has a lot of love for other people. Love is what god is all about. And last I remember god made gay people too!! I am sure most my family and friends wont like this post because they dont want people to think they support gay people but thats not my point. My point is stop judging people, stop thinking you are better then others, and if you are really truly concerned about someone then pray for them. Have a private conversation between you, god and loved ones in your own home or in your prayer group. If this pastor took the time to watch Ellens show he would see that she is a beautiful person!
