I love Thai food. Its the best cuisine on the planet. Unfortunately, I have yet to find an authentic Thai place in the GR area. Having spent almost a year in Thailand, I sometimes really miss authentic northern Thai cuisine. Are there any restaurants within an hour of here that serve authentic Northern Thai, Burmese, or Laotian cuisine? Im looking for dishes that you might find in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, or Phrae. Examples like Khao soi, Jackfruit curry, or Pu Pad Pong Kari? Id even settle for some basic Chicken Rice! Hint: If it is served with bell pepper or broccoli, its probably not authentic Thai food. Thanks!
