I love cleans! I just had to make a decision...and will have to make many more Im sure, that Id rather not take it as serious to compete in USA Weightlifting, and work on my movements, Im even a USAWL coach, and Im honestly not going to train a client who lacks the mobility in hips and T-Spine to do them. Just my philosophy. Its weird but, the better I became at them, the worse i noticed I was at them. Id see people like Wil Fleming doing when with very good form, and he will tell you he can improve movement wise, but ability to perform the specific movement it takes to safely generate the force to do them correctly, hes effective. I competed last august and although statistically, I did pretty good, these guys could moveeeee. Olympic lifting is awesome, just make sure you have he mobility, stability. And motor control to do them safely. Im not saying, take the fun out of exercise. Just make sure you can safely move your body around the bar.
