I love how Ben Affleck reworded and essentially gave away his parties understanding of a fundamental document of this country (2:06-2:11) Like we are endowed by our Crea... forefathers, with certain unalienable rights, all men are created equally. (Ben Affleck -2014) I bet he is a supporter of the Common Core curriculum. Wow, is Ben the spokes person for the humanist party, he just told everyone watching this that their rights came from the forefathers.... and not God. If the rights came from man, then there would not be any that were unalienable, second of all, if our rights come from man, then all men would not be created equally. To successfully convert a state from a Christian background and heritage the state must first remove God from its foundation and teach the people that their rights come from the government. Hopefully yall werent absent the day they taught government in Civics class, but the government does not give the rights, the right were given by God! it was the duty of the government to protect those rights with the power it was given , by the consent of the governed. Furthermore, the rights spoke of in the Declaration of Independence were not just for American citizens, As America didnt officially exist yet, they were rights given to ALL men and women on this planet. Perhaps Affleck should study government a bit more before trying to have discussions about it. He didnt make a mistake, he started to quote the right words and quickly changed the wording before making any indication that God gave us the rights that we created a government to protect.
