I love how people are confused on the poor Pittsburgh record this year so far.... Clearly they didnt pay any attention last season at all. We didnt hit well or score a ton of runs in games in 2013 either.. the difference being our pitching. Locke and AJ were two KEY members of pur first half of play. How many games were won by 1 run? MANY. The Pirates organization must spend some of their moldy money on some talent. We cant depend on players like Mercer, Snider or Gaby to win games. They should have sucked it up and paid Byrd and AJ to stay. Plain and simple. Grilli has not rebounded from his injury.. I like the guy, but it is pretty evident. Win or lose we will still travel to games... but there are many who will not. This team.. these men... really need to take a step back and look at this team and figure out what step to take next. How to fill the many voids.. How to turn new fans into lifelong fans. There needs to be changes..no need to wait til the All Star break to start preparing for much needed adjustments! UGH
