I love movies, all kinds of movies. I love to read the book - TopicsExpress

I love movies, all kinds of movies. I love to read the book first, and then see the movie. To see where they differ, what is the same and then think about what I would have done different. I have done this since I was a teenager. Think Star Wars and The Outsiders. I love Sci Fi, chic flicks, dramas, war movies....I like movies. More recently, I had the chance to watch the Movie Noah. I loved the movie! It was Epic! Like Brave heart or 300! Not historically accurate in some areas but then again it never claimed to be. It claims to have been inspired by the story of Noah in the bible. I loved it but I do recommend that you read your bible if you are looking for fact clarification. Like the watchers they arent mentioned in the bible but it was cool that when they asked God to forgive them before they died they were taken back to Heaven. In the movie Noah seems to care more about the animals than people but when you understand that Noah thought his job was to save the animals because they were innocent and all of mankind were guilty of sin, you can see where he didnt quite get his assignment right. We have the clarity of 2000+ years and there are times when I think God wants me to do something for a reason only to find out that what I thought was the end goal wasnt quite what God had in mind. Anyway with that said. I loved the movie, as a movie, just as I loved the Book of Eli in all its harshness. I am excited that right now there are several movies out that in one way or another bring up this subject and that people are having dialogs about them. At the end of the day though, they are movies, made by man, so use them as opportunities to open the door for discussion, not to judge, base or crush a religion over. We are to love one another. I am not to sit in the judgement seat of anyone. All the energy used toward negativity of these movies could better be spent using them in a positive way to bring people to hear the truth. IE if you liked the movie ______ come to _______ and see/hear the true story. Or Bring your movie ticket stub and we would like to put a Free copy of the Book in your hand or come see our interpretation of events. Im just saying that you have to love people not bash them over the head and tell them that they are going hell because they watched a movie. What do I know. Im not a biblical scholar, Im just a woman who loves God, my bible and a good movie.
