I love my dog. His name is Sparky. He is a rescue. I found him wondering the roads of the national forest at sunfall on June 14th. Technically, I was approached by a mother and son who found him, but they, and I together, were unable to get him into either car. His name was Moses; hers I cant remember. This was at the peak of the mountain on 211 (between New Market and Luray). This is Storybook Trail or colloquially The Overlook. After they gave up, I went to Food Lion in Luray and picked up a pack of Buddig deli meat (ham, I think). I came back to find him alone, petrified, under the guardrail. After feeding him much of the pack, with only two slices left, I was able to grab him and put him in the car. Given that the area is on the border between New Market and Luray jurisdictions... I dont think anyone really cares about a lost dog. I posted on Facebook, but no one ever came forward. I firmly believe he was abandoned. Thus he became mine. I love him. I can only surmise you must have parallel affection for your cat. I can empathize with the companionship.
