I love my job especially on presentation day when students show their entrepreneurial projects. The project tonight was about growing cotton in Yemen. Everything was so well thought out and presented with near perfection. The student is planning to implement this project. While students are free to choose anything they like except for a restaurant, she chose a project that her product can be exported. With Yemens oil production going down, new exportable products will have to be developed to keep Yemens economy healthy. I added instead of electric or diesel water pumps she could use very old technology of windmills. I also told her to research dry ground cotton farming, like in Lubbock Texas. There are many sharp young people in Yemen getting a great education who will be leaders in business and government. Inshallah the problems of today wont be here in the future. I want to give a big congratulations to all my students that have gone on to start businesses of their own!
