I love my poor addled country. We have been to the Moon, Nearly eradicated Polio, Achieved a solid middle class Republic, split the Atom, invented Television, and air brakes, and electric lighting. Given the world Hollywood, Radio, the Automobile, the Personal Computer. led historic efforts to eradicate poverty, ignorance, and disease. Yeah, we could have used a graphic designer to make our flag, and we have sadly lagged and squandered our precious capital on incessant war for the profit of a few greedy rich people. We have often backed the wrong sides in other nations efforts to throw off the shackles that bind them. And allowed greed to nearly crash the world economy, and have been willing to allow the growth of theocracy and ignorance in the past 40 years. and we have Turned our backs on our legacy as Forward reaching exploring, helping people. We can change however. and regain our place as a Progressive and Strong nation of idealistic futurists who embrace change, embrace immigrants, embrace the ideal of equality, and education for all.
