I love my school, I love what I am doing here, I am proud of who I - TopicsExpress

I love my school, I love what I am doing here, I am proud of who I will become when I leave Washington University. My only wish is to see the same pride in my classmates. We rarely express the pride that comes with being in medical school. We are scattered, I am tired of hearing how certain individuals just “DON’T CARE.” I Care. We have to STOP the atmosphere of indifference. My goal isn’t to bring everyone together; my goal is to just have a family here on this island. I NEED a family here, and so do y’all. We aren’t going to have “get together” and “events,” we are going to have family gatherings. I want to come into a school where I know we can be SUPPORTED, where we can be ENCOURAGED, and where (along with all of you) we CAN and will achieve the goal that we set out to accomplish. The moment we take those first few steps up the heavily tinted pane glass doors of our beloved school, we become equals. We work towards a common goal. Whether I make Vice president or not next semester, is not important. What is important is that we view ourselves as a family. This is my home away from home. I need a friend who will guide me, I need a brother to protect me, and I need a few sisters to cry with. Will you all just be there not just for me but also for each other? I need it, we need it. I am done. Guys, I expect my WUHS family to come together and let us take pride as a student body in who we are, what we have, and where we are headed. We are Washington University of Health and Sciences in Belize. We are the future doctors of our generation! I am Shola Oni and I hope to be blessed with the opportunity to be your Vice President!!
