I love the GREAT PROJECTS my kids are part of at their school! The class Xavier and Tensaye are in have created their own economy and the students have to WORK in their class TO EARN MONEY (and budget) so they can rent/purchase: pens, pencils, paper, a chair, a desk, etc.. They had to look through classroom jobs listings, pick a job they want to apply for, submit a job application (that can contain no grammatical errors), and tomorrow they have a job interview with a member of the staff at the school. I love that they learn so much (math, writing, presentation skills, people skills, character development) in addition to learning real life skills!
