I love the movie The Shawshank Redemption and its one of the best movies Ive seen, but I am watching The Green Mile again, and I have to say I do love it more. There is something about a magical movie with a Christian theme that puts it over the top for me. The love and emotion of the movie to me is gripping. The magnificent performances by Tom Hanks, Michael Clarke Duncan (RIP), Sam Rockwell, Barry Pepper, Jeffrey Demunn, and Gary Sinise cannot be ignored. Yeah I wept watching it several times. Shawshank is a great movie but did not quite move me as much. Shawshank had a great ending whereas Green Mile didnt. In my opinion I still choose Green Mile over Shawshank. Both amazing, epic, and iconic movies.
