I love the way God works in those little things. We have a car thats been out of commission for about 6 months. Its a hybrid and its been thought it needed a new hybrid battery to make it work. Rick is a do-it-yourself kind of guy and has been been talking about charging the cells but in investigating this, found out this can be extremely dangerous. The other option was simply a new hybrid battery, which isnt cheap. But JUST this week we decided we would bite the bullet and get one and had been shopping around. But for some reason on Saturday Rick felt led to go look at cars. Sure. I was up for it. We found a car we wanted to drive and Jace and the salesman were sitting in the backseat. He asks what other cars we have and Jace tells him we have a hybrid but its not working so the salesman asks whats wrong. Rick tells him about the battery and the salesman says that its unusual for the hybrid battery to go out like that. He asks if he has checked the little battery. Rick said no and we proceeded to look at cars but never felt anything quite fit our needs. We didnt buy a car that day. But when we went home, Rick got to thinking about what the salesman had said. He tried changing the smaller battery. Success! The $2000 problem we thought we had now became a $50.00 fix. I love that the very reason we were supposed to go that day was to meet this man who had a simple solution to our problem. We didnt realize at the time that we werent meant to get a car that day. Makes me think of the story in the Bible about the coin in the fishes mouth. Sometimes our answers come in ways we would never imagine. Sometimes God sends us what we need through a car salesman. And Im okay with that. :)
