I love this miracle of the healing of Scotlands popular national junior bagpipe champion and recording artist, Hamish Munro. Hamish had been struck down with crippling painful juvenile arthritis for 5 years and was often confined to a wheelchair. On his good days he could only struggle a short distance with several walking sticks. At the beginning of 2001 his mother Shuna, who was also a cripple, was dramatically and instantly healed from at least 11 different infirmities namely rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, asthma, blurred vision, alzheimers, epilepsy, severe eczema (whole body), chronic depression, irritable bowel etc in Edinburgh. Shuna threw her sticks away and ran and danced that night and later asked me, I have a son who is a cripple, can you heal him too? I replied, I cant, but Jesus certainly can. Bring him tomorrow night. The following night at the Leith Baptist church Hamish came, and like his mother, was instantly healed after prayer. His fingers and toes straightened and all his chronic pain melted away. The best thing was that he found Christ! Hamish was also healed of severe epilepsy as well! Hamish could hardly wait to compete again at the next National Bagpipe Competition to try to regain his national junior title. The biggest selling UK newspaper, The News of the World heard about Hamishs miracle and a reporter was sent to cover his story. The audience at the competition knew Hamish was a cripple and were totally amazed when he confidently walked up to the platform and played flawlessly. Hamish won that day and regained his title. Previously, he was only seen being wheeled around in his wheelchair at the previous competitions, and couldnt compete because of his painful bent fingers. Hamish publically gave all glory to God for his miracle and wasnt ashamed to share about his conversion experience with the eager crowd. Rupert Murdock sent reporter Rod Mills to do stories about other miracles as well and soon thousands were flocking to those early Scottish healing meetings. They were crazy days and recorded in my book Miracles from the Dust. The good news is that Jesus still does these same miracles today and he calls believers to step out and do the same. What an awesome God we serve!!!
