I love to lead, influence, succeed--- Ive always found my self-worth in these things. Ill tell you what- nothing breaks you down and helps you find your true self-worth in Christ like being home alone with 3 kids under 3 all day long. Ive been struggling with this idea that Im not DOING anything all day long- meaning, Im not doing anything that anyone outside of our home can measure, using the worlds system of measurement... But Ive never had such a realization that I dont need to DO anything to have worth and value.... Though I do in fact DO a lot.. If that makes sense. The idea that Im JUST a mom is a lie- in Christ I am fierce, even when I spend most of the day rocking kids, cleaning spills, loading dishes, changing diapers and doing so in solidarity. I am impacting the world, I am changing it... Maybe one day I will get to do it through my music, but in this season, I am doing it through loving my children and husband and, slowly but surely, myself.
