I love to perform and music has gotten me through some pretty rough times. However I do realize that being in my 40s that Im never gonna be a famous rock star, or country star. That will never stop me from throwing on my eye liner and my ripped up jeans to get up on stage and pour out my heart and soul to entertain you. Whether the music industry ever acknowledges me or not it makes no difference as long as I have an audience to entertain. If it gets to the point that I no longer have an audience then Ill play in the kitchen or sing in the shower lol Although with that being said its always much more fun with a crowd dancing and having a good time. Ive noticed lately that the number of people catching live entertainment has been dwindling. Im constantly sending out messages and making events on Facebook but for some reason it seems like the number of people actually making it out to the shows are slim to none. I dont like to be pessimistic but I always say get out there and support your local musicians. I try to get out and check out my musician friends as much as possible. There is some great talent here in Newfoundland and we need your support to help keep what live venues we have left. So get out there and catch a show, show your support and enjoy the very thing that has engulfed our lives as musicians.
