I love you! I say this often to you. I dont say it loosely. I dont say it to impress. I was asked one day how I could love someone I never met or really knew anything about. It wasnt a hard question to answer. Its what we are called to do. John 13:34-35 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” Now, I will admit that I am not one who can simply throw a Bible quote at you to back up what I am saying. I just looked that one up. But I can tell you that I have all of my life learned to love people. Not only those who were easy to love because they were friendly, open, kind, generous, etc. But those who were hard to love or never knew that they could be loved. But to you, my friends...I find it so VERY easy to say I love you! You see you are so incredibly supportive, kind and very generous with your praise. I am humbled by the words you post here and in response to a story Ive written. You know my behind the scenes story of my life and you lift me up in action, prayer and generosity. Knowing you find value in my work and share it truly is a great gift to me. Permit me to emphasis here that when I have expressed my love for you or responded with words like You have know idea what you have done for me or You cant imagine how much I needed this right now. Those words go VERY deep. You see, God uses us all in ways we cannot imagine. I have been in deep deep depression and suddenly a message appears. Like the note from Neil Horner today. Like being included in the ALS Challenge by my friend Karen Kroll Joseph. I was so alive and excited doing it. I was so overwhelmed that the Light Rain film reached more than half a million people. Me? My story going around the world and even translated! Its more than I can ever imagine accomplishing. Yet, I have very little in material things. I dont need things. I need you. I need to be needed. I need to be able to love and be loved. We all do. Thats God! He never lets me down. He knows what I need when I need it. He sends me friends Ive never met to say I love you to. You cant imagine how important that is to me. Never ever underestimate the power of your own words, my friend. You never know what impact they have on someone. Someone like myself. I love you, all!
