I´m pretty sure that we have both Barack Obama and Angela Merkel to thank for the fact that Pr. Putin is now saying that he has no intentions to invade Ukraine.. He had his troops right at the border! Had it been Pr. G.W. Bush, we would probably have a full war going on.. Now, sanctions against the Russian oligarchs and just calm negotiations have led to a peaceful solution of the situation.. So, let´s hope that the Ukrainians are now allowed to resolve their problems on their own, independently, as is fitting for an independent nation.
