I made a post yesterday about AFSCMEs endorsement of Gov. Pat Quinn. I was amazed that after getting in a highly-publicized fight with Quinn after he tried to take collective bargaining away from rank-and-file members and blocked a pay raise that ended in a court battle, that AFSCME would endorse him. I contacted AFSCMEs main office in Chicago and asked if they had a representative that would come on Sound Off tonight and explain the endorsement - an endorsement that I still maintain defies logic. Eddie Caumiant, regional director for AFSCME in Southern Illinois will be my guest at 8:10 p.m. tonight. Along with that interview we will talk about Adrian Peterson and the child abuse charges against him, the IDOT patronage scandal that just wont go away and ask the question, is there a war on coal in America.
