I made it to Hwy. #101 on the Oregon coast! Judi & I are back in - TopicsExpress

I made it to Hwy. #101 on the Oregon coast! Judi & I are back in Spokane for a little R & R and preparing for two family get-togethers in Colorado and Arizona. I finished walking, this time out, on Saturday Morning after a 10 mile stretch that took me to Hwy. # 101 on the Oregon coast. This made 467 miles of walking since I left Spokane on July 14th to begin walk # 8. Just think I only have 7, 450 miles left. After our tumultuous journey through Portland we finally got far enough from the big city that traffic became more tolerable. Even though it was extremely busy for a two lane highway the shoulders were adequate and I wasn’t as stressed out as I had been in previous locations. The weather still was up in the low 90’s until Wednesday, when it dropped into the mid 80’s which was still high for this time of year in western Oregon. The climate change in just several days was dramatic. Once we got into the coastal range the temperatures dropped and the humidity rose. Many of the trees that hadn’t been harvested along hwy. #18 were at least one or two hundred years old. They towered well over a hundred feet and created a primeval atmosphere that was majestic and haunting. Towards evening as the sun set the trees cast eerie shadows over the road and the rustling winds gave me the sense I was being watched by unseen eyes. It might have been big foot, but it was too dark to tell. Just kidding, it was judi! We are leaving on Thursday the 19th to fly into Denver then drive to Colorado Springs, where my brother in law, Dick Eastman is celebrating 25 yrs as director of Every Home Crusade, an international evangelistic & training ministry. All of Judi’s siblings will be there along with their spouses. Then Judi and I will join my brother Stan and his wife Karen in their RV and head to Flagstaff, AZ to spend time with my other two brothers Eric, and Warren and their families. From Flagstaff we will drive to the Phoenix airport and fly back to Spokane on Tuesday Oct. 1st. We’ll spend a few days getting ready and then head back out on the road where we left off near Lincoln City, OR. I think the walk has gone well considering I haven’t done this for ten years. Even though there have been some physical challenges I am grateful to have been able to walk this many miles. We live in an amazing country and every day I have the privilege to represent you as an advocate for the unborn and an intercessor for the healing of our nation. If you have any needs that you would like Judi and me to pray about let us know. We would love to see how God will meet your needs as He has ours. I know you hear appeals for finances on every front. It is because God’s people are the most generous people in the world. They have big hearts and big pocket books. I am deeply moved every time I reflect on the generosity of those who have already given to make this walk a reality. So thank you all! However, we are still believing for 250 people who will commit to just $10.00 in monthly support. This would create a financial base that would really help sustain the walk. You can make your donations on our website: circlethenation Thanks again, Norm & Judi
