I made the mistake of taking apart avocados, tonight, with a knife thin and sharp enough to drop right through the center of the pit and into my thumb, on the last avocado, with almost no effort. I did finish my guacamole, because I knew that a pinch or two of cream of tarter, well mixed into the guacamole, would prevent browning for a day or two. Thats the cooking tip for the day. Acidify your avocados! Now lets hope that the tendon I hit was only a nick (the knife hit bone, so it was so swollen they couldnt totally tell, at the ER), and that the severed nerve heals quick like.
