I made the mistake of telling my wife Heidi that I was going to a shop called Marks and Spencers today. It’s a clothing store and it is where I buy my underpants from and socks and hopefully as I continue to loose weight I will be buying shirts and trousers there as well. Today I needed a new light waterproof jacket for my upcoming Alaskan cruises. “Oh” said my wife……….can you get me some underwear.” “ Oh “ I said followed by a loud “FFS.” For a man this is a disaster because shopping alone for women’s underwear is enough to have beads of sweat running down the crack my bottom. Every moment, I feel convinced that female shoppers, not to mention security guards, are peering at me in suspicion and disgust. So you look at the lingerie while at the same time trying to look as if you’re not looking. There are so many types. Strings, thongs, and Bridget Jones belly busters. I had been told to get a particular type and colour but I sure as hell couldn’t find them and that made me even more self-conscious. So much so that I found myself stroking my cheek with my left hand, in the hope that fellow shoppers would see my wedding ring and realise I was in fact buying the black thong for my wife……… and not for myself. OK, I know many are waiting for news on Carnival Freedom and her upgrades and I am anxious and very excited to bring that news to you because I have seen what is happening and it is, dare I say , brilliant…………Pine Bluff and her mates I shall leave you to discuss the use of the word “brilliant” on another website and I am glad to be of service. It really is superb what we are doing but for operational reasons we have to wait a while longer before we can share everything with you so hang on for a few more days and the moment the beards send me the press release, I will share it with you.
