I make a lot of reference to small towns (whose who) and the way small towns/counties/communities (not all) tend to do things. The reason I CAN do this is because I am from this little town in Oklahoma that most of you have never heard of before called Dewey and it is about 20 minutes from the Kansas/Oklahoma state-line......10 minutes from Bartlesville, OK. We have no restaurants other than Sonic and Simple Simons (I think there might be a wanna be Mexican restaurant in the old slut hut) and two stop lights (please Dewey if weve added some stop lights I count on you to correct me). When it comes to sports, well lets just say that your name means everything and if you are a child of a teacher or coach associated with the Dewey Public School System then you are usually in the starting line up regardless of the sport you play whether it is what is best for the team or not. Sorry to put you on blast like that Dewey, but it is the truth and I think that all of you like me whose parents were not associated with the school or employed by Phillips 66 Petroleum Company (Now Conoco Phillips) can agree with me on this one. Furthermore, I have more facebook friends/acquaintances from Washington County than Leflore County and I have found that in all of the years that I have had a facebook account that there has not ever been one single person from my neck of the woods to become offended or confused about what I might have meant in a post because they KNOW ME. A good rule of thumb (especially when it comes to social networks) is to not assume about anything and dont look for trouble/drama in every corner. Get to know a person before assuming about what they may or may not have meant online. Words on paper, computer screens, and cell phones can easily be misinterpreted compared to words that are actually spoken.
