I may not have disclosed this, but Ive always wanted to be a cop and was ecstatic when the NYPD called me back. However, due to all of the police targeting and my stride to be a great cop who makes a difference, my opinion was thwarted by the recent events, increasing divide between the community and police, and protests. I let my candidacy fall to the wayside and I tried giving up on that career. But NYPD doesnt give up that easy and has since called for me a second time from their retention department. Could this be my calling? Is a police officer what I am meant to become? I dont know, but since they arent giving up on me that easily, Ill move forward in my hiring process and wont give up on them either! Send me your Blessings! Im going for it!
