I may regret typing this just before falling asleep, because I may forget to thank a bunch of people who really deserve the thanks. Fingers crossed that Ill remember them all. This 45+1 may have been the toughest one to,pull together. I usually book a couple extra performers, because I fully expect one or two to have to cancel - thats sort of the nature of the thing. But the cancellations this time around were insane. People getting really sick, people getting 75-hour work weeks, you name it. I think I lost a total of eleven performers over the past two weeks. I was starting to wonder if I was going to be able to pull it off. We pulled it off. In fact, it was an amazing night. Wonderful burlesque performances by Orchid Mei and Anne Medina. Gorgeous singing by Rachel James. Killer rhymes from Shane Franklin and Jonny 5. Fantastic performances by Robert W. Eldridge Jr., Trevor Mariotti, Joshua Trinidad and Calvin Locklear. And extra bonus thanks to Josh Lee for filling in at the last minute, and knocking them dead...twice. And bonus kudos to Ian P Gilchrist for running sound. I dont recall the last time so many people walked up to me to say how much they loved the set. So thanks again to everybody who took part, and everybody who showed up. Next up...holiday 45+1.
