I may well share every status update I receive on this subject. And why not? Julie Hoversons staggering these releases so theyre not flooding the newsfeed, and frankly this is something worth sharing. Wilbur Whateley is one of my favourite villains. Prodigiously intelligent, highly educated but only within a very narrow field, uncultured, crafty, and in touch with something immeasurably alien. Its easy to forget that during the story hes only fifteen years old and thus couldnt really be all that emotionally mature, however fast his body grows. Danar Hoverson gives the role a sort of sulky, adolescent stroppiness that I dont think any other adaptation has matched.
