I meant to post these three pictures I took of a piece of furniture that Rob and I Stained together just last weekend.... This was given to me by my mom, Susan, and given to her by her Sister (my Aunt) Nancy. Funny the things I remember as a small child. I vividly remember Aunt Nancy having this set up with a lighter (less polyethylene) finish-- or, its very possible it was much shinier back then, and much unlike myself, perhaps the shelf was unable to maintain an undeniably brilliant, yet appropriate appearence (tisk, shelf lol jk). I first remember it was set up in the living room window in her ( Nancys) 1st home in Clayton Co..... On the top shelf she had African violet flowers, and on the bottom was a (for that time period) state-of-the-art stereo - complete with the ability to play both common vinyl record sizes, am/fm radio, and an 8 - track player which sometimes worked - and just when you thought youd seen everything, there were the TWO STEREO SPEAKERS... Completely - unnecessarily - ENORMOUS speakers were, back then, just a regular part of life. Who knows, maybe they were a lot louder than the speakers we are used to today. If so, it seems like they could not have any kind of sound quality that would compare to what we have today. Im certainly not bragging because I dont have anything to brag about. ..... however, I do have a small surround sound system in our living room. The speakers ---- really I would guess the largest (not counting the sub-woofer) around a tenth of the size of the common stereo speakers of the late 70s through the mid- 80s. Ive had no noise complaints in VA.... I may have had a few noise complaints in GA --- Im sure I did have noise complaints in fact that I could not tell you when the last one actually occurred lol. Dear lord, I thank thee so very much for bestowing this unique blessing upon us: these incredible Keys - to our amazing memories, where we can be nostalgic, and think of the best of times, people and places in our respective lives. Amen. Well, family, friends, and the rest of yall... lol-- it seems like its quickly turning into an Elvis Presley (the album from Hawaii) type of day because this is public and some people that might read this do not know this particular fact about me please understand that I am NOT a racist person I believe in equality for all that said please accept the fact that I do love all Elvis music man and one of my favorite compilations of Presley was American trilogy
