I mentioned before about how we brush blinds with Willow. I can not give you the definate type of willow.....any help would be appreciated. I just know from what my grandpa taught us all as being the right type of willow for brushing blinds. The small leaf willow on the left is the correct stuff to use....the stuff on the right is NOT. The small leaf willow will hold its leaves much much longer than the big leaf willow. We do NOT brush blinds with any oak or pine. We have used cornstalks in the past as they tend to thatch great. Weeping willow trees are not good either. Hope that helps with what we use to brush our blinds with......
