I mentioned to the AHS principal of the need for an ACT prep class at AISD for its high school students. All I have seen so far is a 3 hour workshop. The ACT has changed from the days when I took it. The test still has its parts where knowledge is key, but most of this test is about the ability to assess reading material as fast and accurately as possible. Knowing which questions to answer and how to rapidly choose the best answer. I felt our students needed that extra edge to score way better on the ACT and help them get a better shot at college acceptance. Would any of you like to see AHS incorporate an ACT prep class into its curriculum?
